One of the oldest doll-motany was "Travnytsia". This is a doll filled with fragrant medicinal herbs, a talisman for health and good sleep.
There are quite a few options for the composition of the filling: motherwort grass, mint, lemon balm (for good sleep), thyme (for the respiratory tract, antiseptic), thuja twigs, garlic, pine buds (for viruses), lavender (antimicrobial agent, as well as against moths), oregano (sedative and for sore throats), wormwood, pine needles, juniper, basil, currant leaves, sage, chamomile, oregano, etc. The doll must be wrinkled in your hands, moved, and the herbal spirit will spread throughout the room…
